What better way to re-ignite the Litfest blog than by spilling the beans on the #Litfest16 launch in London last week. We took a brief break from Litfest HQ and hopped on a plane to London for a whirlwind trip.

On Tuesday, the 2nd of February '16 Litfest and Kerrygold invaded Quo Vadis Soho for an exciting and fun-filled UK launch. The Members' Club at Quo Vadis had a full house of culinary fans, chefs, food and drink writers and media to celebrate launching the 2016 festival.
Darina Allen and Rory O'Connell, our festival Co-Directors, along with Jeanne Kelly of Kerrygold welcomed over 80 guests and previewed the 2016 programme. This year Litfest will welcome the experts - award-winning food writers, famous chefs, food and environmental activists, avant-garde farmers big and small, food film makers and photographers, soil experts and bee-keepers, wine makers, distillers and brewers and policy makers.

Speaking of the festival Jean Kelly said, 'With many of London's finest chefs and food writers joining us to celebrate this year's most unique and eclectic line up, this evening is a glowing testimony to the festival's growing global success. We are already counting the days to Litfest16.'
Invitees at this perfectly intimate setting in the heart of Soho, London were treated to a selection of canapés and drinks that were crafted by Jeremy Lee and his team at Quo Vadis. Rory MC'd an interview with last year's participants Sarit Packer and Itamar Srulovich from Honey and Co., who spoke very sweetly of the festival and what attendees could expect to experience.
