Neven Maguire is proprietor and Head Chef of MacNean House and Restaurant in Blacklion in Co Cavan. Neven is regarded as one of Ireland’s leading chefs and the restaurant has consistently won awards for cusine and service.

Neven has published several recipe books, his most recent being The MacNean Restaurant Cookbook published by Gill & Macmillan. He also writes a weekly column for the Farmers Journal and contributes regularly to the Irish Independent Saturday Magazine.

Neven’s media career began as resident chef on RTE’s Open House with Marty Whelan and Mary Kennedy. His fourth series of Neven Maguire: Home Chef is currently transmitting on RTE with the next series soon to go into production. Neven has a weekluy Friday slot with Marty Whelan on Lyric FM and is a regular contributor to the Marian Finucane Show.
