Ella McSweeney | Litfest A Food and Drinks Literacy Festival at Ballymaloe

Ella McSweeney is a radio and television broadcaster for RTE and BBC, and a postgraduate in Food Policy at City University in London.

With a background in science, specialising in zoology, her work focuses on farming, food and environmental issues. She spent three years working for the BBC before moving to Ireland's national broadcaster, RTE, where she presented a wide variety of radio and television programmes including Mind Matters, Documentary on One, Nature's Web, Into the Deep, The Green Light, Shanks Mare, Countrywide and Living Lightly.

She presents RTE's flagship food and farming TV series, Ear to the Ground, and she also reports for BBC Radio 4's Farming Today and The Food Programme.

She is currently a postgraduate student in Food Policy at City University of London. She spends her time between Ireland, the UK and New York.

Litfest - A Food and Drinks Literacy Festival at Ballymaloe is a weekend filled with fascinating facts, inspirational stories, intriguing discussions, incredible knowledge, fantastic music, fabulous dancing and of course, delicious food and drinks.
It is the only festival of its kind in Ireland and has created an important hub for food and drinks enthusiasts worldwide to meet and share ideas with each other.
