Lilly is a food writer, blogger, photographer and chef. After graduating with an honors degree in Design, Lilly worked in the Art and graphics world but was repeatedly drawn to the kitchen. She finally succumbed to her love of food when she enrolled in Ballymaloe Cookery School in 2007.

Lilly went on to start her cooking blog ‘Stuff I Make, Bake and Love’ in 2010. After a few months blogging she was approached by Gill & Macmillan to publish her first book, Make Bake Love. Her second book ‘Dream Deli’ will be published in October 2013.

A Cork native, Lilly grew up in the countryside surrounded by piglets, chickens and kittens as well as her seven siblings. She fell in love with food at an early age, topping and tailing gooseberries for jam and collecting eggs on her parents small holding.

She has had a weekly column with The Sunday Business Post since 2011 and a monthly column with Easy food magazine since 2010. She writes and photographs food regularly for various national papers and magazines.

Lilly started ’The Loaves and Fishes’ Supperclub in Dublin in 2010 and each month cooked five course suppers for hungry guests in a church that was converted into a family home. The Last Supper took place in August 2011 is not due to return until her babies are reared (!)

Lilly starred in her sister, Maeve’s, comedy cooking show ‘Fancy Vittles’ and also regularly cooks on RTE afternoon television. Maeve is a comedian and author with her fantastic book ‘We have a good time don’t we?’ being published in 2012.

This Autumn sees Lilly presenting a new baking show for kids on RTE2: Ireland’s Best Young Baker. It was a dream come true for Lilly to work with such young talented bakers and see that Baking is safe in the hands of our future generations!

With a practical and approachable style of cooking Lilly also has a love of baking beautiful things. Fresh, local produce always feature in her recipes with delicious dishes for feeding a family or for special occasions. Her beautiful photographs and friendly warm style of writing will encourage you to feel confident in the kitchen.

Lilly lives in Cobh with her partner Colm and their baby boys, Liam and Cathal.
