Yvette van Boven {born in Ireland from Dutch Parents}, divides her time between Amsterdam and Paris.

She is a freelance culinary editor, food stylist, recipe writer, tv-chef & columnist.

She is the culinary editor for the woman’s weekly Libelle Magazine and the food columnist & illustrator Volkskrant Magazine. She is the host of the very popular Dutch cooking show Koken met van Boven.
Together with her husband Oof they make a story for the Dutch Delicious.

Yvette also works as an illustrator for either editorial or commercial clients.

Her work has appeared in magazines or newspapers such as Bon Appétit, Delicious., Elle Food, Elle, Red, Food & Wine, Volkskrant, Flow, Margriet, and many books. She used to be co-owner, together with her cousin Joris Vermeer, of a restaurant & catering company in Amsterdam, called Aan de Amstel.

Together with her husband, photographer Oof Verschuren, she made a number of critically acclaimed cookbooks from scratch. The first book Home Made was named ‘cookbook of the year 2010’ and has since then been released worldwide, translated into English, German, Spanish and French. Her next books Home Made Winter, Summer and Home Baked and the Home Made Food Note Book have now also been translated into English and German.

Home Made Awarded as ‘Dutch Cookbook Of The Year 2010’ Awarded as ‘Best informative Dutch book 2010’ Nominated for ‘Best first cookbook’ at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2011 Home Made Zomer Nominated for ‘Dutch Cookbook Of The Year 2012’ Awarded with the ELLE Award for ‘Best Dutch Food Photography 2012’

Oof Verschuren works mostly from his studio in Amsterdam as a photographer for mainly commercial clients and clients in the fashion industry.

Together with his wife Yvette he works for food brands and they work on their books together too.

Litfest - A Food and Drinks Literacy Festival at Ballymaloe is a weekend filled with fascinating facts, inspirational stories, intriguing discussions, incredible knowledge, fantastic music, fabulous dancing and of course, delicious food and drinks.
It is the only festival of its kind in Ireland and has created an important hub for food and drinks enthusiasts worldwide to meet and share ideas with each other.
